C. "Betty" Massie, 81, of Kenosha, died on Thursday, May 21, 2009.
Born Dec. 14, 1927, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Brockling) Kiesler, Betty attended Queen of Angels and graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago. She was a seventy-year member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
On July 10, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Loren R. Massie at St. Mary Catholic Church. Loren preceded Betty in death on Dec. 18, 2003.
Betty was employed by Clifton E. Peterson, M.D. as his office manager and medical secretary for 21 years prior to her retirement in 1989. A certified medical assistant, Betty was a proud member of the American Association of Medical Assistants.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Mullany; two sons, Loren Jr. and Michael (Susan) Massie; sister, Marcella Hackbarth; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Massie-Ferch and Molly (Roger) Drost; three brothers, Joseph Jr., Richard and Gilbert Kiesler; and one sister, Bernadette Northrup.
