Paul
J. Ferraro, Sr., 83, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at
Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kenosha on February 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Serafino
and Josephine (Giacomarra) Ferraro. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was
educated in local schools. Paul served in the United States Army and was
awarded the Occupation Ribbon for service with the 1st Calvary Division
Artillery stationed at Camp Drew in Honshu, Japan.
On May 30, 1953, he married Irma Pierangeli at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in Kenosha and had just celebrated their 62nd anniversary.
Paul founded and was the owner and president of K&R Services Inc., a
family business, until his retirement in 1997. Prior to that, he worked
for Phillips Brothers as a salesman. He was a member of Our Lady of the
Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, the Italian American
Club and the VFW Post 1865. Second to his love of family was his passion
for golf which he enjoyed with family and friends.
Survivors
include the love of his life, his wife, Irma; five children, Paul (Debbie)
Ferraro, Jr., Cary (Jan) Ferraro, Paula Vitkus, Craig (Casey) Ferraro and
Michael (Janice) Ferraro; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna (Mike),
Joseph (Brenda), Mitch (Nina), Courtney, Sam, Max and Reyna; five
great-grandchildren, Landon, Laynee, Miro, Rome and Stasia; and two
sisters, Mary Jane (Richard) Guttormsen and Geraldine Liegakas.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Ferraro, John Lupia, Joseph
Lupia and Frank Lupia; five sisters, Rose Stone, Irene Ferraro, Catherine
Hackbarth, Louise Maraccini and Grace Emma; and his mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Pasquina and Ladislaw Pierangeli.
